Get Better Diet Discipline With This simple Trick.

When embarking on a new diet strategy, different things derail people from sticking to it and actually getting the results they look for. Sometimes, are hunger is too great to resist those extra portions. Sometimes, we overeat and feel both physically and emotionally exhausted from it, or everything goes well until desert hits your field of view. Regardless, doing this with every bite you eat will help you stay disciplined.

Chew super slowly, and completely!

Chewing your food longer, and completely dissolving the food in your mouth can help you with every aspect of your portion control. When we chew the food more completely, we fill our mouths with more salivary Amylase that help our body digest the food more effectively. Also, keeping our minds on the delay between food going into our mouths and us receiving the fullness signals that tell us to stop eating, chewing more completely gives us more time to receive those signals and realize that we have eaten enough!

More Enjoyment

Want to have dessert, but can’t limit yourself to small portions? Chewing the food more slowly will let you savor every bite, and enjoy more of the dessert with a smaller portion. Diets don’t have to be about restrictions and supplements, they SHOULD be about moderation. Instead of completely saying goodbye to problematic foods, chew them more slowly so that you can appreciate smaller amounts of it. Chew one pizza slice in the time it takes to chew 2-3. That Carrot cake won’t melt on you, so don’t eat it like it is.

Try this today, and see how much your appetite changes. Change your appetite, change your body. It may seem simple, but we need simple! Along with simple, we need to be consistent. Your favorite social media influencer may tell you to think big, but that comes in time. Start by thinking small.

“You don’t try to build a wall. You don’t set out to build a wall. You don’t say ‘I’m going to build the biggest, baddest, greatest wall that’s ever been built.’ You don’t start there. You say ‘I’m gonna lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid,’ and you do that every single day, and soon you have a wall.” - Will Smith

That wall can be a set of washboard abs, and each brick can be a better diet habit to add to your nutrition foundation.
